Botanical Gardens of Villa Taranto are reachable by car via highway 34 or via Lake Maggiore with numerous connections from all the resorts that overlook the lake shores.

Villa Taranto: the botanical gardens
Villa Taranto, situated on the view point of the Cracker, a territory that extends him for over 20 hectares up to the shores of the Most greater lake occupies. Built toward the end of the XIX century from the count Orsetti, you/he/she was purchased first from the noble of Sant'Elia and then, in 1931, from the captain Scottish Anthony Neil McEacharn, true craftsman of the actual stately botanical garden. In the splendid building of taste eclectic of the ex gatehouse of the Botanical Gardens, precious and delicate natural pictures are exposed: the Herbarium Britannicum of the Captain Neil Mc Eacharn that he understands 43 reliquaries in which it is possible to admire kind of spontaneous flora of the United Kingdom.
